Since its beginnings in 1914, Onward Gospel Church has been a light to the community of Verdun and the city of Montreal.  The current location on 165 Galt Street, was established in 1922, with a building constructed that year. Since then, many renovations and updates to the facilities have been made. With a heart for Christ and for people, as it’s foundation, the influence of Onward has been felt locally and globally, though the more than 50 missionaries that it has sent out and supported over the years, and the two churches it has planted. Onward has been a member of the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada since 1946.

If you join us for our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30am, you will find a warm, loving, and growing congregation of young and old. You will find ethnic, racial, and linguistic diversity. You will find people from all walks of life, and what unites us is our common faith in Jesus and a Spirit-born desire to be his followers and share the gospel with the lost.
